Each lens measures 2" tall by approximately 2 1/2" wide, bringing them into the size range of a regular pair of sunglasses. If you want or need full protection from the sun, these are a perfect pair of sunglasses. The advantages of our Covers are many and our manufacturer spared no expense in putting together a highly functional product. The lenses are manufactured from TAC (Tri-Acetate Cellulose) not CAB (Cellulose acetate butyrate) as are many less expensive polarized lenses. TAC is a highly stable material unaffected by high temperature, humid environments or moisture. It will not shrink like CAB and eventually fall out of the frame, nor will it absorb moisture causing distortion and lens cloudiness over time. It will not distort vision due to excessive shrinkage over time. TAC provides 99% polarization efficiency, much higher than traditional polarized eyewear. TAC for longevity, clarity, sturdiness and great undistorted vision has no equals in CAB or polycarbonate. Have you experienced distortion in the past when wearing your prescription eyeglasses and eye glass covers? One of TAC's many advantages is that it will not conflict with polycarbonate prescription lenses causing distortion of your vision. These are first quality lenses available only in much higher priced eyewear. Not only do they provide full polarization protection from reflected glare, our lenses are anti-glare coated on the interior to prevent back glare from stray light. They are also hard-coated to keep scratching to a minimum. Here's the real advantage of TAC lenses. Unlike other polymer lens materials, TAC is about as close to the clarity of glass as can be achieved. The difference between glass and TAC is so low, it is generally not detectable to the naked eye. Compared to CAB and polycarbonate, TAC is a break-through in lens clarity. Our lenses are also CE approved per European performance standards. The smoke gray lenses provide 100% color rendition, meaning they do not distort colors. The brown hi-contrast lenses create exception visual clarity and make great sunglasses for driving, shooting, or on the golf course. Our lenses are outstanding for backpacking and hikers, particularly at elevation or in the desert where maximum 100% UVA, UVB ultraviolet protection is required. Additionally, they are the perfect sunglasses for boating and fishing. Our polarization will virtually eliminate all reflection off water allowing you to peer down into the depths. If you like hunting for trout in the Sierras or mountain lakes and streams, this will give you the advantage of seeing those lunkers hiding amongst the rocks. And, your eyes won't feel tired and like they're full of sand at the end of the day. Frames are sturdy nylon, highly stable and unaffected by high heat environments. The frames are designed to cup the eyes to keep dust, flying objects and stray light from the top, side and bottom from entering the orbital cavities. Because of their design, which blocks light from all directions, the clarity of the lenses and their light blocking properties are enhanced substantially. Our frames come in one of two colors. Black and translucent brown. The black frame is available with smoke gray or brown lenses. The translucent brown frame comes with brown lenses only. You will receive a micro-cloth protective pouch that is designed to double as a cleaning cloth. No muss or fuss, just fold it up and slip it into your pocket while wearing your sunglasses. We also include a leash at no additional charge so you can remove your sunglasses temporarily without having to find a place to put them. To determine whether this model will fit your glasses, measure the width of your glasses from the outside of one temple to the outside of the other temple. If your glasses exceeds 5 1/2" in width, this model will not fit. Additionally, it comfortably handles glasses with lenses upwards to 1 3/4" tall.
