But don't let these looks fool you. Like all Wiley X eyewear, the lenses are combat rated for high velocity protection and meet ANSI as well as MIL PRF military standards for maximum eye protection. This model is a departure from Wiley X's usual black frame. The high gloss tortoise shell type finish, also called "Demi" frame, is exceptionally good looking with the mirrored bronze lenses. And, they are exceptionally good looking with desert camo or digital desert military combat uniforms. The lenses are a somewhat of a brown/bronze tint that increases visual acuity and improves contrast between targets. It is not a dark brown tint, but a medium tint that is really a joy to look through. The great thing about this tint is that it blocks a significant portion of blue light which causes eye fatigue and squinting. But, it doesn't distort colors like the older blue block type lenses. It is an exceptional marriage of technology. And, besides looking great the mirrored lenses aid in blocking reflected glare. Like all Wiley X eyewear, it provides maximum UVA/UVB ultraviolet ray protection. And comfort you ask? Wiley X's P-17 models are designed specifically for long hours of comfort. The nose bridge has soft neoprene nose pads and the temple tips are fitted with Wiley X's VWave rubber temple tips for a very light and comfortable feel for many long days of work or play. Included is a removable adjustable leash to keep it in place and a soft case. It's designed to fit medium to large facial structures/head sizes.
