And now it's available with your prescription lenses. The Auto-Light Adjusting GRAY lenses are made from the latest 4th generation photogray materials. They darken deeper and faster in sunlight than before and go completely clear indoors or at night. Prescription Limits Sphere: +2.00 to -3.00 Cylindrical: +1.00 to -1.00 Sphere: +2.00 to -3.00 Cylindrical: +1.00 to -1.00 If your prescription exceeds the limitations noted above, we recommend the JP-2 which is similar in design with similar features. Please see the JP-2 link below. The rage comes with a removable cloth covered gasket making it ideal for wear everyday or in high dust environments. We use only ballistic polycarbonate lenses which are dimensioned and hand fitted to retain maximum protective characteristics. This model is suitable for wear in combat environments. NOTE ABOUT LIGHT ADJUSTING LENSES: If you receive this product in a hot environment, the darkening process may take some time to activate properly. High temperatures will slow the darkening process requiring repeated exposures to sunlight over time to fully reach its darkening properties. Some have found that upon receipt, placing the sunglass in a refrigerator or freezer for a few hours then exposing it to direct sunlight (not behind a window) will help to activate the darkening process. It sometimes helps to repeat this process several times. However, if you do not do this, repeated wear in high temperatures in sunlight will continue to improve the darkening properties of the lenses over time. Once they achieve their full darkening properties in high temperature environment, they should function well from that point forward. The darkening process is caused by exposure to ultraviolet rays from the sun. The lenses will not function if worn under a polycarbonate shield which blocks UV rays. In a vehicle they may not darken to the full potential because windows in vehicles block most UV rays. Placing the sunglasses in sunlight behind a window of a vehicle or building to test the darkening process will not work. The windows block most UV rays and the darkening process will be minimal.
