The weapon thumb release cannot be inadvertently opened by movement in brush or tree limbs when used in conjunction with the Velcro thumb break safety. The thumb break opens to the inside (from right to left, not from left to the outside) helping to prevent weapon removal by anyone other than the wearer. Finally, when used in tactical operations with the thumb break only, opening the thumb break and removing the weapon is done in silence. No Velcro straps to compromise silent operations.
