If you have struggled trying to find a quality aviator that fits your smaller facial proportions, look no further. This model is a 52 millimeter lens. Our M6256 is a nice dark smoke tint with multiple layers of silver oxide to give it a full mirror reflection that has become very popular today. If you are sensitive to bright sunlight, you will absolutely love the dark tint and extra filtration provided by the silver-oxide mirroring. The lenses are 2.0 millimeter shatter proof ballistic polycarbonate, not .75 millimeters like you will find for sale at your local gas station. This is important. Quality lenses on metal frames do not allow the frame to flex. If you ever wondered why lenses pop out of a frame, it's because the lenses are thin and flex causes the frame to distort over time. Eventually a lens will simply fall out. 2.0 mm thick lenses, while providing combat goggle ballistic protection, maintain the form of the frame so it doesn't distort. A sharp blow to these lenses will not cause them to flex and pop out of the frame. The M6256, like all the eyewear we offer, provide full UV-400 ultraviolet ray protection. Ultraviolet rays can damage your eyesight over time, so if you spend a lot of time outdoors, this is a must have feature. The frame finish is excellent on this product. A very thick polished chrome finish that matches optical quality finishes over nickel-silver alloy frame construction. Nickel-silver is highly malleable during the production process eliminating stress cracks during the frame forming process. The frame will not split or crack over time. Nickel-silver accepts a polish that is very fine in preparation for the chrome plate giving it a very high-end finish. The temple ends are clear, but the quality of the finish extends to under the clear temple ends. Quite often on inexpensive sunglasses, the finish under clear temple ends is rough, giving it an unfinished second-rate appearance. The temple arms are not press fit to the frame front like on inexpensive frames. They are screwed in place for a long life. The nose pads are self-adjusting and soft (not hard plastic) for a very light feel and comfortable all-day wear. Our M6256 is an exceptional bargain in optical quality sunglasses.
