However, instead of chrome only as with the M105, we offer the M3125 in three frame finishes. Gun Metal: A chrome like highly polished metal appearance except with a smoke tint as opposed to a bright or "white" traditional chrome. Comes with Smoke/Gray lens tint. Very sharp, very neutral color. Glossy Black is a traditional favorite eye wear color. Comes with Smoke/Gray lens tint. Brown Chrome: A chrome like appearance except, as the name applies, a brown finish with brown driving lenses. Very nice looking (Very limited availability) The frames are manufactured from nickel-silver which is done to eliminate stress fractures during the forming process and provide maximum durability. This is the only model we offer with acrylic lenses. The advantage of acrylic over polycarbonate is its optical clarity. Polycarbonate is certainly very good, but acrylic almost offers glass-like clarity in a very lightweight material. Additionally, acrylic will not age or yellow over time and it is highly resistant to detergents, something polycarbonate is not. In fact, acrylic is so good and the impact resistance has improved so dramatically in the last couple of years, that automobile manufacturers have started to use high impact acrylic on lens covers for automobiles. It does not yellow or cloud over and, unlike polycarbonate, it is more scratch resistant. And, like all our eyewear, the M3125 provides full UVA and UVB ultraviolet ray protection. We do not recommend the use of acrylic lenses as an alternative to polycarbonate safety glasses where maximum eye protection is required. However, for everyday wear, impact resistant acrylic is an outstanding alternative for its superior optical clarity and glass-like distortion-free characteristics. If you wear a polycarbonate shield, let's say for motorcycle riding or SWAT work, the M3125 is an excellent choice to be worn underneath your shield because it will not create distortion when viewing through your polycarbonate shield as will polycarbonate lenses. As with all our aviators, the lens thickness is critically important to frame durability. Convenience store sunglasses are inexpensive. There is a reason for this. The lens thickness is generally .75 millimeters, sometimes as thin as .65 millimeters. Frames will flex significantly with thin lens material and predictably the lenses will pop out as the frame begins to distort. Good quality lenses add rigidity to the frame. Our lenses on the M3125 are 2.0 millimeters, almost two-and-one-half times thicker than inexpensive dime store sunglasses or those $5.99 to $9.99 internet specials. They are junk-wear, not eye wear. Our design provides maximum rigidity and durability over the life of your sunglasses. You can be assured your lenses will not unexpectedly fall out of your frame. In fact, as with all our aviators, just trying to pop the lens out of the frame is an exercise in futility. You will damage the frame long before you get the lens to pop out. Dime store lenses pop out with virtually no effort whatsoever. The mirroring on our lenses is full rich multiple layers of silver-oxide, which helps to minimize scratches on the lens surface. The underlying tint is a dark smoke, which you will find more than adequate if you are sensitive to bright sunlight. Our frame is fitted with a spring hinge making this model a comfortable fit for a broad range of head sizes from small up to and including large. This is a nice sized frame and lens package. The lenses are smaller than our M1030 model which some find more appealing. Our M1030 are classified as full size aviator lenses, which some may find too large especially if you have a smaller head size or narrow facial structure. The M3125 is a good fitting pair of sunglasses and nicely sized. Your M3125 will come in our deluxe hard aviator case. There are no shipping or handling charges.
