The holster is attached to the vest using MOLLE webbing instead of Velcro. That keeps the weapon secure in combat conditions and cannot be ripped off the vest like velcro attached holsters. The holster can carry any standard government issue semi-auto pistol including the M9, Colt .45 and most .38/357 revolvers of similar length. And, it's canted for easy weapons draw. The "Improved model" also means the back side is true MOLLE webbing configured so a butt pack or additional MOLLE compatible equipment can be added. Additionally, you no longer have the decision as to whether it will be a pack, pouches vs. a hydration bladder. The mesh webbing is double ply which holds a hydration bladder to keep your MOLLE webbing free for other equipment. Very nicely done. Hydration bladder available below. The underlying structure is mesh for breathability in hot climates. The overall construction is mil spec 600 denier nylon oxford for a sharp crisp military look. This vest is fully adjustable for girth and height from size Medium to XLarge with a heavy duty zip-up zipper on the front. It is only available at this time in right hand versions. D-Rings on the front are included for caribiner attachment or other items. The pouch above the 3 rifle mag pouches (M4 & M16 compatible) can be used for shotgun shells, additional magazines or storage of other items. PISTOL BELT included with two detachable mag pouches! The inside has two zip-up document compartments. The right and left side shoulder is padded and non-slip for accurate firing making this vest perfect for right and left-handers.
